"Assessing where we are helps us know where we need to go next, where we can level up and experience a level of higher ground. It’s the first step toward succeeding in 2016 and building momentum for the future." - John Maxwell
I warmly congratulate and welcome you into the Year 2016. Happy New Year to you and your family!
As you celebrate the wake of the new year, I urge you to embark upon an indepth and measurable goal-setting agenda, meticulous planning and the designing of your strategic plan of action for the new year. This small investment of time and effort will pay dividends and help you achieve the growth you want to see this year.
In 2016, there may be those who just want to be a better father or mother, those that want to be a better spouse, those that want to add value to their communities and churches, those that work within companies and want to take their game to the next level, those that are entrepreneurs, those that are already coaching, teaching, speaking and training or that would like to start. Whatever it is your goals are, begin your line of attack immediately as 2016's already ticking away. Take action now! Your growth can start now, just go for it!
I'm almost certain you may have heard the expression, “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten?” Something needs to change. We can’t expect to get better results if we’re not willing to change how we do things. Forward progress requires growth.
For most of us, it’s not a question of if we want to change, but how. We want a better tomorrow. We have desires, dreams, and hopes. Maybe we have a habit we want to break. Or a goal we want to reach. Or a skill we want to develop. Your growth can start now, just go for it!
We know instinctively that if we want our life to be different, we have to become different. In other words, we need to grow. And unlike your physical height, your growth as a person is within your control; you can do something about it. Isn’t that a relief? Each of us can grow and improve.
If you choose to grow, and commit to taking steps of growth daily, you will be on your way to reaching your potential. If you keep learning and growing every day over the course of many years, you will be astounded by how far it will take you. Self-discipline is paramount!
To grow in leadership in 2016, you have to grow in influence and to do that; you need to garner feedback from your senior leaders, pastors, work colleagues, business associates, friends and family to identify areas and opportunities for your leadership growth and development.
Growth is never automatic, it's systematic. It takes time, and it requires us to change. And that can be hard. But the rewards of growth far outweigh the sacrifices. When we commit to growing, we open the door to a meaningful life. We get the chance to make a positive impact on our world.
On behalf of Nenye, Sean, Karissa, Christine, our Global Ecosystem and Myself, I wish you a Stupendous Year 2016. I urge to grow and grow and grow and grow, and that you spare not in this new year. Make it your best year yet as you plan on increasing your impact on the world and live a more fulfilling life, everyday. God bless you.
